Handicap Policy, 2008 The following rules are established for Crow Valley Golf Club by the Board of Governors.
* Each player is required to register in the Golf Shop prior to play.
* No food or beverage may be purchased off premise and brought to the club or golf course.
1. All Club Tournaments will be conducted under the direction of the Golf Committee.
2. Fivesomes are permitted. Sixsomes are permitted only when authorized by the Golf Professional or one of his assistants.
3. Slow Play: Four (4) hours is the maximum time which should be required to complete 18 hole of play. The Golf Committee, through the Golf Professional, will enforce the following rule: If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the match following to play through. Members who play through uninvited by the preceding match will be referred to the Rules Committee.
4. Proper attire is required on the golf course, practice facility, and putting greens. Improper dress is defined as tennis shorts or skirts, running shorts or pants, swimwear, shirts with slogans, and shirts without collars for men, halter tops, tube tops, boots, tennis or street shoes. Mock turtle neck is permissible. Shorts may not be more than five inches above the knee. Denim is allowed after Labor Day throughout the fall, winter and spring, until Memorial Day. Spikeless golf shoes are required. Any member desiring to play in spiked golf shoes should submit a waiver request to the Board of Directors. Each player must have the proper equipment. A single set of clubs may not be used by two or more players.
5. Junior Rules
Unaccompanied Junior Play:
Monday -After 2:00 pm
Tuesday -Before 10:00 and after 2:00 pm
Wednesday -Before 10:00 and after 2:00 pm
Thursday -After 2:00 pm
Friday -Before 10:00 and after 2:00 pm
Saturday -After 2:00 pm
Sunday -After 2:00 pm
Holiday -After 2:00 pm
Accompanied Junior Play:
Accompanied juniors are entitled to play with a parent member at 12:00 pm on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
A. Any junior receiving special consideration must be aware that the Golf Professional has control over such privileges and may revoke them at any time.
B. All junior play is under the supervision of the Golf Professional.
C. Any junior under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult member.
Tournament Access
Juniors in high schools are allowed to participate in the following tournaments:
Stroke and Match Play, Club Championships, Velie Cup, Member-Member, as long as they qualify and have an established handicap. They are required to play in the championship flight except for the Member-Member.
6. Guest Rules
A. Guest of member green fees is $55.00/18-Hole - $32.50/9-Hole.
Junior Member (aged 21 to 35) greens fee is $40.00/18 holes - $20.00/9 holes
Only valid Monday thru Friday
Family Member $27.50/18 hole - $16.25/9 holes.
Junior (aged 20 and under) Guest fees $25.00/18 hole - $12.50/9 holes.
Outside guest green fees are $90.00.
B. All guests must register in the Golf Shop.
C. In season, a member may only have an individual guest no more than 3 times.
Individual guest may play the course a maximum of 5 times in one season.
D. The privileges of the golf course shall also be extended to the lady companions of bachelor members and gentlemen companions of lady members when accompanied by such member. No green fee shall be charged.
E. All guests MUST be accompanied by a member, unless they are guests of another club by appointment with the golf shop staff.
F. Members with two or more guests must tee off before 11:00 or after 1:00 on weekdays and after 11:30 on weekends.
7. Group Outings
Outside groups will be given consideration upon written request to the Board of Governors.
8. Golf Carts
A. The fleet of golf carts is the property of Crow Valley Golf Club.
B. Privately owned golf carts are permitted by Trail Fee members only.
C. Each person renting a golf cart will be financially responsible for any damage to the cart due to negligence or carelessness. Each cart will be inspected upon return from use and any damages will be evaluated and charged to the members club account. In case of damages caused by a guest, the charges will be made to the sponsoring member.
D. Golf Carts must be signed for prior to play. Cash will not be accepted for cart rental or green fees.
E. No golf carts will be allowed off the club grounds. All golf carts must be returned to the golf shop area following play.
F. Golf Carts Must:
1. Stay at least 30 feet from tees and greens or outside white lines.
2. Stay on the cart paths on all par 3s, and 90 degree rule in effect when directed by Greens Superintendent.
G. No more than two players and two golf bags are permitted on one cart, except when a special attachment is arranged by the golf shop staff.
H. IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to allow anyone under 16 years of age without a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE to operate a golf cart. Members taking small children on the course are assuming responsibility for their actions. Small children are not to be left unattended on a golf cart.
I. The golf cart fee is $14.50/18 holes, $ 8.25/9 holes.
J. PERSONAL CARTS MUST FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES!
9. Practice Facility
A. The practice facility is under the supervision of the Golf Professional.
B. Mandatory annual range fee is $200.00 per membership. This allows a member, their family, and any golfing guest the right to hit balls on the range.
C. Balls are placed on the range for the convenience of the members during operating hours.
D. Practice is limited to the designated areas only. Pitching to the practice putting green is not permitted. The short game area is for shots from 50 yard and in not full shots.
E. Children under 8 years of age may not use the practice putting green or driving range unless accompanied by an adult.
F. In the interest of safety, the Crow Valley Board of Governors has adopted the following policy: Members or guests at the practice facilities will be personally liable for any injuries that may occur.
Hole-In-One Club
If you are a member of the Hole-In-One Club and you make a hole in one, all other members of the Hole-In-One club are billed $10.00. You are then issued golf shop credit for the entire amount billed. You must make your hole in one at Crow Valley with at least two other Crow Valley Golf Club members playing with you. To join ask the golf shop staff to sign you up.
Practice Facility Hours
The practice facility is available for practice when the Golf Shop opens Monday through Sunday and closes at the hours listed for that month. This is done so that the balls may be picked and cleaned to properly conduct the next days business.
Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates issued from the golf shop may only be used for merchandise or club repair purchases.
Guest Clubs
For security reasons it is recommended that guests place their clubs in their automobile immediately after play. Guests clubs will be placed on the club rack near the Golf Shop parking area after the Golf Shop closes. Every effort will be made to notify guest when the Golf Shop is closing, so they may put their clubs in their car. Neither the Golf Shop or Crow Valley is responsible for clubs left on the club rack.
Club Repairs
The Golf Shop offers services for all club repairs. All minor repairs and re-gripping will be finished by golf shop staff and be completed within 24 hours upon receipt of the equipment. Major repairs, refinishing will be outsourced and completion times may vary.
Lost and Found Items
All Lost and Found items should be turned in at the counter in the Golf Shop. The equipment will be placed in the Lost and Found area of the Club Storage Room.
Junior Club Storage
A special area is set aside for Juniors in the Club Storage Room. There is no charge for Juniors. The Golf Shop is NOT responsible for lost Junior equipment.
Messages
Each day the Golf Shop receives numerous phone calls with messages for players who are on the golf course. Non-emergency messages are kept at the counter in the Golf Shop. Members are encouraged to check with the golf shop staff between nine and after play. Emergencies will be handled immediately. We ask that all players register in the Golf Shop so that we can be better informed for any situation.
Club Storage and Cleaning
Club storage and cleaning services in the club storage area are provided year round for members and their families. Outside Staff and Golf Shop Staff are available during the season at all times to transport your clubs to and from the club storage room, prepare them on a golf cart, or take them to and from your car.
When members bring their equipment to the club storage room, they should register their equipment with one of the Golf Shop Staff. A Crow Valley Club bag tag will be attached to your bag with your name and rack number.
Annual storage billing of $100.00 is placed on your billing statement. One club storage staff is mandatory per membership, a second stall is optional.
